Advantage of Torx

The Torx screw differs from the Phillips screw with its contact surface. The Phillips screw consists of two types: Philips and Pozidriv. Both screws have a cross, with the Pozidriv having an additional notch. The big difference with the Torx screw is that this has a star-shaped hexagonal point. This gives you more contact surface and therefore more grip. Because there is more grip, you screw your screws more tightly and accurately. This shape also ensures that the chance of the screwdriver slipping out of the screw during screwing is very small. In addition to easier tightening, loosening also requires less force. In short; the screwdriver with Torx head is absolutely user-friendly.

A Torx screw must be exactly the right size for the screwdriver. Deviating from this has consequences for creating the right effect. A T8 screwdriver really only fits a T8 screw.
